  • Dirty Bastard Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz vodka
  • 1/2 oz blackberry brandy
  • cranberry juice
  • 1 squeeze of lime

Directions: Pour vodka, brandy and cranberry juice (to taste) into an ice-filled highball glass. Add one squeeze of lime, and serve.

  • Milky Way Martini

Ingredients

  • 2 oz vanilla vodka
  • 2 oz chocolate liqueur 
  • 1 oz Irish cream

Directions: Combine all ingredients, mix, and serve in a cocktail glass without ice.

  • Nukin Futs Imperial Peanut Butter Choc Cream Porter

Brewed by: Track 7 Brewing Co. California, United States 

Style: American Porter

ABV: 7.30%

Availability: Year-round

I came across this wonderful brew at the one of my favorite restaurants, Stout. It’s a wonderful place with fantastic burgers and beers. I found this drink on the menu in September, and decided to try it out. It’s incredibly creamy and has a very light aftertaste. Its taste reminds me of a peanut butter cup with a dash of alcohol. It’s very hard to find, but I highly recommend it.

  • Dave Matthews cocktail

Ingredients

  • 1 oz amaretto almond liqueur
  • 1 oz Captain Morgan Parrot Bay coconut rum
  • 3/4 oz pineapple juice
  • 1/4 oz cranberry juice

Directions: Shake amaretto, rum, and juices together in a cocktail shaker. Strain into an ice-filled cocktail glass, and serve

  • Shark Bite cocktail

Ingredients

  • 3/4 oz Captain Morgan Original spiced rum
  • 3/4 oz light rum
  • 1/2 oz Blue Curacao liqueur
  • 1 1/2 oz sweet and sour mix
  • 3 drops grenadine syrup

Directions: Fill a shaker with ice. Add the spiced rum, light rum, sour, and blue curaçao. Shake ingredients well. Strain into a rocks glass. Garnish with three drops of grenadine.

Halloween Themed Cocktails

Hello everyone, and welcome to my special Halloween themed bar! I hope you guys are ready for a ton of spooky concoctions. Now. let me fix you up something special!

  • Mr Hyde Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 8 oz vodka
  • 4 oz parfait amour liqueur
  • 1 oz blackberry liqueur
  • 2 oz tarragon simple syrup
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 oz lavender syrup
  • 4 lavender sprigs
  • 8 blackberries

Directions: Prepare the tarragon simple syrup by placing 1 cup and 1 cup water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat until it reaches a low boil. Add two sprigs of fresh tarragon and reduce heat to low. Heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove tarragon and allow syrup to cool. Place 2 blackberries on each lavender sprig and set aside. Cut and juice lemon. Strain to remove pulp, if desired. Add sprits, syrups and juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake until very cold (about 20 seconds). Pour drinks into beakers and add a lavender blackberry skewer.

  • Drunk Zombie Eyes Cocktail

Ingredients

For The Red Layer:

  • Cranberry Liqueur
  •  Strawberry Liqueur
  • Triple Sec
  • Strawberry Brezzer 

For The White Layer:

  • Coconut Rum
  • Coconut Cream
  • Whipping Cream

Directions: Create the White Layer first by combing the Coconut Rum, Coconut Cream, and Whipping Cream in a cocktail mixer. Add the Red Layer next, and garnish with a Mini Jaggermiester bottle and Jelly Eyes.

Hello everyone! I have decided to spice things up a bit, and create a more personal Thursday post. Recently, I have been training to become a Cicerone. A Cicerone is like a sommelier for beer. They have the tasks of keeping and serving beer, knowing about the various beer styles, evaluating and describing beer flavor, knowing about beer’s ingredients and how to brew them, and how to pair various beers with foods. Yesterday, I took a beer bootcamp on the basics of being a Cicerone, and boy was it amazing! I have finally found out what I would like to do with my life, and it feels great! In order to celebrate this epiphany, I have decided to share with you my favorite beers. I hope you guys will enjoy this post as much as I enjoy writing it. Now, let’s dive into the amazing and delicious world of beer!

  •  Wells Banana Bread Beer 

Brewed by: Wells & Young’s Ltd England, United Kingdom

Style: Fruit/ Vegetable Beer

ABV: 5.20%

Availability: Year-Round

This incredibly unique beer first caught my attention when I saw it in the liquor isle of my local grocery store. It stood out among the rest, and I immediately decided to buy it. Upon opening the beer, I was met with a wonderful smell of Bananas. The beer was bright yellow, and reminded me of Cola Champagne. I took a sip, and was immediately engulfed in a banana paradise. The sweetness of the bananas combined with the bitterness of the hops was absolutely perfect. I cannot recommend this beer enough, and I highly suggest that you go buy it if you can find it in your area.

  • Dragon’s Milk Stout

Brewed In: New Holland Brewing Company Michigan, United States

Style: American Double/ Imperial Stout

ABV: 11.00%

 Availability :Year-Round

I first discovered this gem of a beer when I was vacationing in Ojai. I was at a Tapas Bar, and I found this beer on the menu. I absolutely adore the bottle’s art, which depicts a black dragon on a beer barrel. This beer is aged in a whiskey barrel, and has an extremely dark color. The beer smells very chocolaty, and the contents look like root beer. It has a very unique taste, that reminds me of a bitter Bailey’s Irish Creme with hints of vanilla and coffee. It is a pretty strong beer, so it is not for everyone, but if you are interested, by all means, try it out.

  • Gerudo (Legend of Zelda cocktail) (Drink created by Mer)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Scotch Whiskey
  • 3/4 Blood orange juice
  • 3/4 oz Cherry Herring
  • 3/4 oz Sweet Vermouth
  • 1-2 tsp Espresso
  • 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters

Directions: Brew espresso according to instructions, let cool. Shake all ingredients with ice.

  • Ocean Breeze Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Malibu® coconut rum
  • 1 1/2 oz Stoli® Razberi vodka
  • 1 1/2 oz pineapple juice
  • 3-4 oz cranberry juice

Directions: Stir ingredients together in a Collins glass filled with ice cubes. Top with a cherry and serve.

Frozen Pine Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Canadian Mist® whisky
  • 2 oz pineapple juice
  • 1 oz grenadine syrup

Directions: Pour all ingredients into a blender with 1/4 cup of crushed ice. Blend until smooth, and transfer into a tulip glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry, and serve.

  • Tokyo Rose Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 1 part Grey Goose®vodka
  • 1 part sake rice wine
  • 1 part Midori® melon liqueur

Directions: Mix equal parts in a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a cherry.
