Hello fellow Duelists! It’s time for another Yu-Gi-Oh post! This week, we’ll be covering crappy cards with burn effects. Now, let’s duel!
Giant Kozaky Type: Fiend/Effect Monster Appearance: A gigantic mechanical version of the standard Kozaky. 4 Stars Attribute: Dark ATK/ 2500 DEF/ 2400
Effect: If there is no face-up “Kozaky” on the field, destroy this card. If this face-up card is destroyed, inflict damage equal to the original ATK of this card to its current controller.
This is the strongest 4 star monster in the game in terms of attack and defense. Unfortunately, it’s nearly impossible to keep on the field. You need a very specific weak monster to keep it alive. If Kozaky dies in any way, you take a painful 2500 points of burn damage.
Sparks Type: Normal Spell Appearance: A brightly colored spark surrounded by a blue background.
Effect: Inflict 200 points of damage to your opponent’s Life Points.
Here we have the weakest burn effect in the entire game. It is so bad, that it has become a meme at this point. The damage is so medial, you might as well be spitting at it.
Hello fellow Book Lovers! It’s time for another Crappy Cover post! I hope you guys are ready to cringe and laugh profusely. Now, let’s begin!
Angry House by Alexis Kennedy (February 1st, 2018) Genres: Horror and Ghost Fiction Pages: 244 Brief Summary: A widowed writer moves to the countryside to an old White House. The house holds a terrible secret, and the writer must learn this the hard way.
I really like the premise of this book, but the cover is complete trash. It depicts a shadowy figure that closely resembles death. There’s also a horrible Jpeg of flames that surround the title of the book. In conclusion the cover gives missed potential to an otherwise fascinating story.
Blood of Our Fathers by Sonny Girard (July 28th, 2010) Genres: Crime Thriller, Crime Fiction, Literary Fiction 592 Pages Quick Summary: A reformed mafia member tries to restart his fractured life.
Another wonderful concept for a book completely destroyed by an absolutely shitty cover. The art looks like it was done in about 5 minutes, and it smells very amateurish. It’s just a picture of a gun with a couple of bullet holes surrounding it.
Hello fellow Tavern Dwellers! It’s time for another Hearthstone post! I hope you guys are ready for some awesome cards. Now, let’s have ourselves a friendly Brawl!
Spawn of Octosari by RobD Type: Hunter Rare Minion Tribe: Beast Mana Cost: 2 Appearance: An incredibly adorable red octopus. Attack: 2 Health: 1 Effect: Deathrattle: Give 8 different Beasts in your deck +1/+1.
Not only is this card adorable, but its effect is super unique and fun. Hunter Decks usually revolve around Beast-type minions, and you could use this to really strengthen upcoming plays. Fantastic card RobD!
Tidal Force by DeckReaper Type: Rare Shaman Spell Appearance: A shaman conjuring a huge wave. Mana Cost: 5 Effect: Deal 3 damage to all minions and Freeze them.
This is a “high risk-high reward” card that I absolutely love. This is not only a board clearing card, but it can also stop you enemy in its tracks. Freeze is a devastating effect, and this card makes incredible use out of it.
Hello fellow Pop Culture Enthusiasts! It’s time for another Tropes post! I hope you guys are ready for some awesome media knowledge. Now, let’s begin!
Mushroom Samba: An extremely trippy trope that occurs in multiple forms of media. It occurs when a character eats something that has such a psychedelic effect on them, that it distorts reality. Also, the character might be interacting with various objects that appear to be different in the real word when they are tripping. Some examples include; The Peyote Scene from Beavis and Butthead Do America. The titular characters become stranded in a desert, and take a bite of a cactus. The cactus turns about to be Peyote, and the duo get thrown into an amazing psychedelic trip that distorts reality for about 5 minutes. Next, there’s the superhero Pixie from X-Men. One of her powers induce hallucinations, and it causes Wolverine to trip balls. Lastly, there’s the Major Boobage episode of South Park. In it, Kenny goes on a Heavy Metal- inspired trip from inhaling cat piss.
Made of Indestructium: This trope deals with any object that can be destroyed by conventional means. Some examples include; Nokia phones. These old phones are nearly indestructible, and can be dropped off of large buildings, melted with red hot nickel balls, and tossed in water. Surprisingly, they’ll still work, and will only have a few scratches at best. Next, there’s Kira’s second Stand in Jojo Part 4, Sheer Heart Attack. This special Bomb Stand is immensely resistant to any type of damage, and was only defeated by incapacitation. Lastly, there’s Adamantium from the Marvel Universe. This metal is almost indestructible, and is the same material that Wolverine’s claws are made out of.
Hello fellow food lovers! It’s time for another food post. I hope you guys are ready for some delicious foods. Now, let’s dig in!
Moin Moin is a savory pudding that comes from Nigeria. It’s made with ground peppers, onions, and peeled black-eyed peas. It’s a staple food in this African country, and it’s very high in protein.
Kushari is a protein rich food that comes from Egypt. It’s made with lentils, macaroni, and rice that’s mixed together and covered with a tomato sauce, garlic vinegar, and topped with fried onions and chickpeas. It’s highly popular, and used in many events in Egypt.
Konbanwa everyone! It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means! Yes, it’s time for us to take a look at some more fascinating yokai. Now, let’s go on a journey to the “Land of the Rising Sun”!
Kiko are incredibly strong creatures of Japanese mythology. They’re depicted as foxes with divine energy and multiple tales. They usually hang out around Inari shrines, and can manifest a human form, mainly as a beautiful woman. These foxes tend to help out people, and some can even fall in love with them.
Rokugyo are downright strange creatures of Japanese folklore. They’re depicted as fish-like creatures with gills, snake-like tails, cow heads, and wings. They are native to the Taiza mountains in China, and will attack human that get too close. Their meat has healing properties, and is said to prevent infectious tumors.
Hello fellow Tavern Dwellers! It’s time for another Hearthstone post! I hope you guys are ready for some awesome cards. Now, let’s have ourselves a friendly brawl!
Poison Elemental by SmugJustice Type Rogue Common Minion Tribe: Elemental Appearance: A globular elemental with a human skull. Mana Cost 0 Attack 1 Health 1 Effect: Has Poisonous during your turn.
This is a very unique card that I could definitely see in today’s meta. The Rogue Class is all about dirty tricks, and deadly traps, so this card works perfectly. It can be played on the first turn for no cost, and can easily set up combos.
Lightforged Construct Type: Paladin Rare Minion Tribe: Mech Appearance: A robot with a golden body and a crystal power source. Mana Cost: 5 Attack: 4 Health: 3 Effect: Battlecry: Discover a Spell in your deck and cast it on this minion.
This is an absolutely wonderful card that is powerful, but not overly so. Many, if almost all of the Paladin Spells used on minions have potentially positive effects. This card gets a unique boost in strength depending on the type of Paladin deck you run. All in all, an awesome card.
