The Craziest Music Video I’ve Ever Seen (Watch at your own risk!)

Pon Pon Pon by Kyary Pamyu Pamyu Released: July 16th, 2011 Genres: Electropop, dance-pop, J-pop Produced by Yasutaka Nakata

How to even start this review! If you think you’ve seen crazy videos, think again! This video appeared on Youtube in July of 2011, and quickly became a viral hit. It now stands at a whopping 138,793,808 views, and still continues to confuse and weird out people. I’m going to try to keep this as spoiler-free as possible, because you have to experience it blind. Let’s just say, it contains a bunch of random items, including multiple eyeballs. Sylvie Paula Paula, a character from King of Fighters, looks extremely similar to Kyary, and it might have been an influence on her creation. The song is also annoyingly catchy, so don’t blame me if it gets stuck in your head for weeks afterwards. Now, dive into the crazy world of Japanese music videos. I’d love to hear what you guys think of the video in the comments’ section below.
