More Crappy Video Game Art (Every Other Wednesday)

Hello fellow gamers! It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means! Yes, it’s time to take a look at some more cringy artwork. Now, let’s begin this suckfest!

  • Chuckie Egg 2 for the Amiga (1985) Genre: Adventure

Chuckie Egg 2 is a strange adventure game for the Amiga computer. You control Harry, who’s trying to assemble a giant chocolate egg. The cover is an entirely different beast! For one thing, it’s creepy as fuck! We see an egg-human hybrid with hyperrealistic eyes and an incredibly ugly face. The backwards cap also makes the egg look like a pretentious douchebag. We also can’t forget the pig vomit which is the weird spider hanging on the bamboo from above. I absolutely hate this cover, and it’s sure to induce nausea within minutes of viewing.

  • NCAA March Madness 2003 for the Playstation 2 (2002) Genre: Sports

March Madness was a series of basketball games that were made by EA Sports. This cover is truly a mustard stain of epic failure! The basketball player, Drew Gooden is incredibly flamboyant looking, and has a very stupid expression on his face. His head is also disproportionate to the rest of his body. Tell me what you think of this work in the comments’ section below.

Hall Of Awesomeness: The Unique Comic Book Characters (Switch With Strangest Characters Every Other Tuesday)

Hello fellow comic book fans! It’s Tuesday, and it’s time for us to change it up. I would like to share with you some of my favorite comic book characters. Some of them may be well known, while others are hidden gems. Now, let’s dive into the awesome world of comics!

  •  Thanos Real Name: Thanos Status: Destroyer of worlds Creator: Marvel First Appeared: Iron Man #55 (February 1, 1972) Powers/Abilities: Incredibly intelligent, neigh invulnerability, has nearly incalculable strength, vast energy and matter manipulation, generation of force fields, telepathy, teleportation, immortality, cosmic blasts

Thanos is a ridiculously strong being, and my favorite Marvel villain. He has it all, brain, brawns, and nearly unlimited power. He was born on Titan, and was ostracized for his hideous appearance. He began to have an obsession with Mistress Death, and slaughtered his entire family to impress her. My favorite storyline of the villain, is when he possesses the Infinity Gauntlet. He becomes so powerful, that not even the most powerful beings, like Eternity and Galactus, could subdue him. I can only hope that his appearance in the new Avengers movie will help people know of his awesome powers.

  • The Punisher Real Name: Frank Castle Status: Anti-Hero/Vigilante Creator: Marvel First Appeared: The Amazing Spider-Man #129 (February 1974) Powers/ Abilities: Incredible martial artist and hand-to-hand combatant, expert with firearms, superhumanly large pain threshold, lightning fast reflexes, in peak physical shape, highly intelligent, hacker, brilliant technician

The Punisher is an incredibly dark character of the Marvel universe. His backstory is heartbreaking and horrific, with most of his tales being aimed at mature audiences. Before Frank became the titular vigilante, he was a family man with a loving wife, son, and daughter. Then, his entire world went to hell on a family picnic in Central Park. His entire family was gunned down by a mob, and something inside him snapped. He then dedicated his life to killing any criminal he came across. Although he doesn’t have any superpowers, he always finishes his job and seems to be nearly unstoppable. He has crossed paths with many heroes on his journeys, and has helped them out on some occasions. While many disapprove of his violent life, no crime will ever be unpunished as long as the skull-costumed “one man army” is still alive.

  • Medusa Real Name: Medusalith Amaquelin Status: Hero/ Royal Interpretor Creator: Marvel First Appeared: Fantastic Four #36 (1965) Powers/ Abilities: Highly prehensile hair, enhanced strength, speed, and reflexes, resistance to some diseases

Medusa got her powers when she was exposed to the Terrigen Mists. Her hair turned bright red, and grew to 6 feet in length. The hair can lift up to 1.6 tons, and each can be controlled psychokinetically. Medusa was raised in Attlian as a member of the royal family. She begins to spark up a relationship with her vocally destructive cousin, Black Bolt. She learned to communicate with him in a special sign language, and they soon fell in love. She then married Black Bolt, and became the queen of the Inhumans. She know serves as her husband’s royal interpreter, and has assisted the Fantastic Four on many occasions.

Carlson Mondays (Every Other Monday)

Hello fellow art lovers! It’s Monday, and you know what that means! Yes, it’s time for us to take a look at some more trippy paintings. Now, let’s get started!

  • Untitled by Larry Carlson Date Created: Unknown

This is an absolutely gorgeous work by “Master Surrealist”, Larry Carlson. It’s a nature scene with kaleidoscopic trees and psychedelic shapes. The main tree’s base is incredibly awesome, with a rainbow design that reminds me of infrared light. It’s painted with meticulous attention to detail, and I absolutely love it! The colors will blow you away, and the trippy swirls will put you into a trance. Tell me what you think of this piece in the comments’ section below.

  • Full Buck Moon by Larry Carlson

This is yet another great piece by “Computer Guru”, Larry Carlson. It’s a nighttime work with a fantastic blend of Realism. The bottom of the painting has realistic rocks and the titular buck. The sky is covered in a beautiful cosmic sheet, and the moon has an aura around it. The sheet has a rainbow sheen, and it really brings the piece all together. Tell me what you think of this work in the comments’ section below.

Mythology Wednesdays (Every Other Wednesday)

Hello everyone! It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means! Yes, it’s time to take a look at some more fascinating creatures. Now, let’s get started!

  • Minobi is a mythological phenomenon that originates in Japanese mythology. It     resembles a small cluster of fireballs that have a firefly’s glow. They gather around people with straw raincoats and stick to the fiber. The entities then burn, and begin to multiply. A large mass will swarm around the individual, and force them to remove the coat. While they aren’t dangerous, they can be extremely annoying.

  • Bastet is a holy figure of Egyptian mythology. She’s known as the goddess of cats, and is depicted as a humanoid figure with the head of a lioness. She defended the pharaoh, and protected people against disease and evil spirits. She was the sister of Horus the sun god, and the daughter of Isis and Ra.

More Beers I Like (Every Other Thursday)

Hello fellow Cicerones! It’s Thursday, and you know what that means! Yes, it’s time for some more beer recommendations from yours truly. Now, let’s begin!

  • Nukin Futs Imperial Peanut Butter Choc Cream Porter

Brewed by: Track 7 Brewing Co. California, United States

Style: American Porter

ABV: 7.30%

Availability: Year-round

I came across this wonderful brew at the one of my favorite restaurants, Stout. It’s a wonderful place with fantastic burgers and beers. I found this drink on the menu in September, and decided to try it out. It’s incredibly creamy and has a very light aftertaste. Its taste reminds me of a peanut butter cup with a dash of alcohol. It’s very hard to find, but I highly recommend it.

Even More Crappy Video Game Art (Every Other Wednesday)

Hello fellow gamers! It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means! Yes, it’s time for us take a look at some more cringy artwork. Now, let’s begin this crazy journey into some pure garbage!

  • Karnaaj Rally for the Game Boy Advance November 21, 2002 Genre: Action/Racing

Karnaaj Rally is a fun little racing game with an assortment of weapons. The game was very well received by reviewers, and IGN gave it an 8.8 out of 10. It’s also known for having one of the worst video game covers of all time. The cover depicts a purple hot rod and an incredibly ugly man with bright blue hair. How the hell does the man have anything to do with the game at all?! He takes up more than half of the piece, and has one of the stupidest expressions I’ve ever seen.  The cover has so much infamy, that even IGN commented on it. Tell me what you think of the work in the comments’ section below.

  • Black Belt for the Sega Master System November 1986

Black Belt is a side-scrolling beat em’ up from the 80’s. It’s a lot like the game, Kung Fu, and just as action packed. Unfortunately, the cover fucks things up again! You’d think a martial arts game would have an actioned packed cover, but no! The cover is just plain lazy, and it looks like it was made in 30 minutes! All the cover has is a single foot and tiny comic book-like effect. It definitely doesn’t make you want to play the game, and seems just like a disappointment to me.

Hall Of Shame: The Strangest Comic Book Characters (Every Other Tuesday)

Hello fellow comic book fans! It’s Tuesday, and you know what that means! Yes, it’s time for us to take a look at some more bizarre comic book characters. Now, grab your favorite Graphic Novel, and let’s begin!

  • Angar Real Name: David Alan Angar Status: Villain  First Appeared: Daredevil #100 (June 1973) Creator: Marvel Powers: Scream can induce memory loss and hallucinations

David was a radical social activist who volunteered for an experiment. The experiment bombarded David’s vocal chords, and caused him to have an incredibly powerful scream. He then became criminal for hire, and crossed paths with many heroes like Daredevil and Black Widow. He lost his powers in prison, and was reconstructed by the Fixer into the  sound entity, Scream. (As cool as his powers sound, it has been done to death already!)

angar (Plus, he looks really stupid!)

  • Dummy Real Name: Dean Boswell Status: Mutant (Deceased) First appeared: New X-Men #135 (February 1,2003) Powers: Gaseous form, phasing

Dummy was a student at the Xavier Institute. His powers manifested at the academy, and he became a sentient gas. He was given a special containment suit that gave him humanoid  appearance and functionality. He sadly met his end when an explosion destroyed his suit. (It doesn’t ease the pain that his outfit looked like a gimp suit!)

SCP Special! (Once Every Month)

Reader beware! Scary content ahead!

Hello everyone, and welcome to a blast from the past! I’ve decided to take one random day from each month to the exploration of SCPs. I absolutely adore this macabre and morbidly fascinating community. It keeps growing every day, and I always look forward to the new posts. Now, without any further ado, let’s get started!

  • Graffito SCP-274 Object Class: Keter (Description is summarized)

Description: SCP-274 is a paint of variable color. Buildings inflicted with SCP-274 appear to have large amounts of graffiti covering the sides of the building, and often have large, disturbing designs to them (see addendum-274). While its consistency is that of normal paint, its composition reveals it to be 28% hemoglobin, 12% gastric acid, and 60% common components consistent with Krylon brand spray paint.

When SCP-274 is applied to a wall, it will begin to spread until the entire wall is covered by it. It’s unable to cover metal, glass, or any horizontal surfaces. When SCP-274 spreads on to buildings, it will convert the wall’s interior into a large mesoglea, the interior walls into a gastrodermis, and the exterior walls act as a protective shell and epidermis. This becomes SCP-274-1

SCP-274-1 has human level sentience, and will lure people to it by making grunts and whimpering. If a human gets to close to the anomaly, it will be absorbed into is gastrovascular cavity. This transforms them into SCP-274-2.

These organisms are depicted as men and women wearing respirators, gas masks, and pastel colored hoodies. They are masters of disguise, and will compact themselves on the wall until prey comes by. SCP-274-2 have a strange, hinged operculum located in their right hands. This device acts like a spray can, and projects SCP-274 like paint. Upon contact, the SCP will be sprayed into the victim’s mouth and eyes. This attack method is extremely painful, and the victim will blinded and numb from the neck down. The poor soul is then absorbed into the cavity, where it becomes another instance of SCP-274-2.

SCP-274-2 duplicates itself every 24 hours, and when 12 duplicates are made, the entity will attempt to cover other buildings. If unchecked, entity may cover a large city within 20 days.

Addendum-274:

Date Found: 01/(BLANK)/2001(SCP-274-1-1), 04/(BLANK)/2006 (SCP-274-1-2), 03/(BLANK)/2010 (SCP-274-1-3), 08/(BLANK)/2011 (SCP-274-1-4), 11/(BLANK)/2011 (SCP-274-1-5), 07/(BLANK)/2012 (SCP-274-1-6),08/(BLANK)/2012 (SCP-274-1-7), 08/(BLANK)/2012 (REDACTED)

Appearance: SCP-274-1-1 is painted to resemble a large bus with the number (BLANK) on its side. The front of the bus has been replaced by a human like face, and the back is on fire. The bus patrons don’t appear to be effected by the fire.

SCP-274-1-2 is painted to look like its crumbling apart. People appear to be running away, and a face is forming from the falling rubble.

SCP-274-1-3 is painted to look like a shark infested beach with people running from the shore. There’s also a giant tiki statue that covers most of the front of the piece.

SCP-274-1-4 is designed to look like a hellish version of Noah’s ark. The creatures are some types of unknown species, and they all have sharp teeth, and eyes devoid of pupils and irises.

SCP-274-1-5 is a scene of several figures in biohazard suits fighting each other for a bottle of hand sanitizer. There’s also several cadavers in a pile with a demonic grinning green dog laughing at the trauma.

SCP-274-1-6 is painted to resemble a mausoleum. There’ s a large human skull painted at its front. The base has figures suffering from advanced stages of rigor mortis. Several figures appear to be wearing standard- issue tactical armor distributed to MTF-Pi-1.

SCP-274-1-7 is decorated with a scene of MTF-PI-1 setting the anomaly on fire through the use of Molotov cocktails. There’s also a large depiction of the anomaly attacking the figures.

[REDACTED]. (BLANK) operatives dead as a result of a large mob of SCP-274-2 numbering between (BLANK) to (BLANK).

  • Blood Candy SCP-942 Object Class: Safe

Description: SCP-942-1 are colored gumballs of standard (2.53 cm) size. From the instance the gumball is ingested, the consumer’s bodily fluids will take on the appearence of blood upon leaving the subject’s body. The fluids coagulate like normal blood and are indistinguishable from blood by sight, smell, and touch. The blood in the body is seemingly unaffected, however, nosebleeds, blood-shot eyes, and tears of bloody will occur. There’s also some discomfort during urination.

Subjects have shown to have panic attacks after exposure, and may lead to severe bodily harm or dehydration.

SCP-942-2 is a small bubble gum dispenser for home use of a model produced by [REDACTED]. The machine appears to have an unlimited supply of SCP-942-1, and can be damaged normally. There’re currently researching the replenishing capacity of the machine. The words; “Try something different today! Sweet and candy-red!” are engraved on the underside.
