Carlson Mondays (Every Other Monday)

All paintings found on

Hello fellow art lovers! It’s Monday, and you know what that means! Yes, it’s time for us to take a look at some more trippy art. Now, let’s get started!

  • Astronomica 13 by Larry Carlson Pigment print on matte paper

This is an amazing black and white work by “Computer Guru”, Larry Carlson. The background of the piece is like an optical illusion, with an endless stream of cascading waves. The main focus of the work is the surreal deity that resides in the center. It has ancient Egyptian eyes, and an elephant’s trunk. It also has a headpiece with various animals of the zodiac. I’d love to hear what you guys think of this piece  in the comments’ section below.

  • Hathor Rising by Larry Carlson Pigment print on metallic paper

This is another fantastic piece by “Master Surrealist”, Larry Carlson. The work is a depict of the ancient Egyptian goddess of love, Hathor. She’s surrounded by a psychedelic, multi-colored, and wavy tapestry. The trippiness has effected her eyes, and they’ve become giant blue and green suns. I love the fact that Carlson takes regular images, and completely reimagines them with his work. Tell me what you think of this piece in the comments’ section below.
