Now this is just incredible! What we have here is an amazing blend of photographic realism and fantastic surrealism. The background of the piece is a gigantic optical illusion with repeated patterns and hypnotic wave lengths. We also see a bundle of human hands that make up two pillars on each side of the work. Carlson blows my mind once again with an absolutely badass painting. Tell me what you think of it in the comments’ section below.

When you find a piece under “Super Trippy Artwork”, you know you are in for a good time! Carlson does not disappoint in this crazy nature piece. We see a huge flock of birds that decorate a blue sky like a cascade of fireworks. Moving up the piece, things get extremely bizarre as we are met with a spherical multi-headed creature. The heads all have masquerade masks, and appear to be enjoying a bowl of guacamole. This work is a trippy masterpiece that would make David Lynch smile from ear to ear.
