Asher’s Art Gallery (Mondays)

Hello fellow art lovers! It’s Monday, and my Art Gallery is open once again! I hope you guys are ready for some fascinating works. Now, have fun exploring my Gallery!

  • To Be Titled by Jean-Michel Basquiat 1987 Acrylic and oil paintstick on canvas

This is a very unique piece by the “Late and Great”, Basquiat. The work is a multicolored collage of repeated words and strange figures. We also see Jean’s depiction of DC’s superhero, Hawkman. The strangest part of the painting is the “dead” head of the Cornflakes bird. The piece is a simple, yet complex work of Abstract Art. Tell me what you think of the piece in the comments; section below.

  • Star Hawk Universal by Larry Carlson 2013 digital pigment print on paper

It’s time for our weekly Carlson post! This week, we have a mind-blowing  epic with trippy mandalas and flying saucers. It is an explosion of vibrant colors and designs. The most beautiful part is the “Star Hawk”, which I will leave for you to find out. I would love to hear what you think of this piece in the comments’ section below.

LARRY CARLSON Star Hawk Universal digital pigment print on metallic paper, ed. of 25, 24 x 50in., 2013.
