  • Sea Apple (Pseudocolochirus violaceus) Length: Up to 4in Depths Found: 0-100 ft Lives in: Rocks and Reefs

The Sea Apple is the most colorful species of Sea Cucumber. It resembles an aquatic apple with long tentacles. The Sea Apple has tube-like feet, which it uses to trap particles. This is used as a food source.


  • Blackfin Icefish (Chaenocephalus aceratus) Length: Up to 28in Weight: Up to 7 1/2 ft Depths: 16-2,500ft around northern Antartica

The Blackfin Icefish is a very unique sea creature that lives in -2Oc water. It is very sluggish, and feeds on krill. The fish doesn’t have red blood cells, and this makes it move freely in freezing temperatures.
