Info found on Yokai.com and yokai.wikia

Konbanwa, everyone! It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means! Yes, it’s time to take a look at some more fascinating creatures. Now, let’s go on a journey to the “Land of the Rising Sun!”

  • Hinoshu are very dangerous creatures of Japanese mythology. They resemble lumpy, rock-like monsters that act as parasites. They will infect the spleen, and cause great discomfort. Hinoshu can be treated with acupuncture.

  • Atoolikozo is a  small creature of Japanese folklore. It’s depicted as a small child wearing an animal fur coat and a mushiro hat. It follows people around, and is completely harmless. This yokai will disappear when it is talked to. It’s said that this yokai is mass accumulation of children’s spirits.
