Yokai Wednesdays

Yokai found on yokai.com and yokai.wikia.com

Konbanwa, everyone! It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means! Yes, it’s time to take a look at some more fascinating yokai. Now, let’s go on a journey to the “Land of the Rising Sun”!

  • Jikininki are horrific creatures of Japanese mythology. They resemble humanoid figures with ultra sharp teeth. They try to avoid human contact, and love to eat dead bodies. This is the only way to relieve their pain of eternal hunger.

  • Enko are disgusting creatures of Japanese folklore. They’re a species of Kappa with monkey-like features. They like to pull humans intestines out of their anuses. Enko can be warded off by any metal object.
