Konbanwa, everyone! It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means! Yes, it’s time to look at some more fascinating yokai. Now, let’s go on a journey to the “Land of the Rising Sun”!

  • Ninmenju is an extremely weird object of Japanese folklore. It’s a strange type of tree that has human-like flowers. These flowers are incapable of speech, however they will laugh and smile at people passing by. If a person should laugh at the Ninmenju, it will laugh back, and occasionally fall off of the tree.

  • Onikuma are incredibly dangerous creatures of Japanese mythology. They resemble huge bears with immensely strong paws. These bears are able to carry off horses and cows, and can easily crush monkeys in the palms of their hands. Onikuma behave like normal bears, although,  they have a much more violent temper.
