  • Hanzaki are very strange creatures of Japanese folklore. They’re depicted as huge salamander with black skin, huge mouths, and tiny eyes. They live far away from humans in lakes and streams. While rarely in contact with people, there have been instances of human consumption among the species.

  • Enma Daio is an extremely well known creature of Japanese mythology. He’s considered to be the Ruler of Hell, and oversees all the souls passing on to the after life. Enma is a large man that’s covered in traditional robes, and is actually quite kind. His true form is Jizo Bosatsu, the guardian of the underworld, and the protector of children. This form is beloved throughout all of Japan.
