Asher’s Art Gallery (Mondays)

Hello fellow art lovers! It’s Monday, and my gallery is open once again. I hope you are ready for some cool paintings. Now, have fun exploring the gallery!

  • Lucifer by Jackson Pollock 1947 Oil, aluminum paint, and enamel on canvas: Here we have a fantastic piece by the “Master of Splatter Painting”, Jackson Pollock. The work is an intense mix of paint splashes and vibrant colors. This could be Pollock’s abstract version of the devil. I love Pollock’s art style, and I’d love to hear your opinions in the comments’ section below.

  • Lion Lodge by Larry Carlson Digital chromogenic print (info about work from Carlson’s website, larrycarlson.com) It’s time for the weekly Carlson post! This one is a space themed work, complete with aliens, stars, and an incredibly weird demon thing. We also see a kaleidoscopic pattern of lions and a seated Jesus. I absolutely adore this work, and I’d love to hear your opinions in the comments’ section below.

LARRY CARLSON, LION LODGE, c-print, 34x24in., 2008.
