Hello fellow art lovers! It’s Monday, and my gallery is open once again! I hope you guys are ready for some cool pieces. Now, have fun exploring my gallery!
- The Red Woodshed by Larry Carlson 2014 chromogenic print on paper (info about the materials found on Larry Carlson’s website, larrycarlson.com) Here we have another wonderful work by the “Computer Guru”, Larry Carlson. This is a painting of an incredibly bizarre winter scene. We see The “Woodshed”,which is a Escher-esque mix of crazy shapes and steps. There is also a huge amount of Blue Jays covering the left side of the piece. I would love to hear what you guys think of this work in the comments’ section below.
- The Fourth Plate of Muscles by Andreas Vesalius of Brussels 1543 Black and White piece: This work is an extremely old drawing of the human body. The muscles are exposed, and he stands tall like a giant. During the time this painting was made, it was considered to be a major part of Western science. The human body reminds me of a Colossal Titan from Attack on Titan. The grotesque figure and heavily detailed body both shocks and allures the viewer. Tell me what you think of this piece in the comments’ section below.
