Konichiwa, everyone! It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means! Yes, it’s time to take a look at more Yokai. Now, let’s go on a journey to the “Land of the Rising Sun”!

  • Goryo are angry creatures of Japanese mythology. They’re the ghosts of nobles who have died in terrible ways. They reappear as vengeful spirits that haunt their enemies. Goryo bring catastrophe and bad omens to whoever wronged them in their lives.


  • Mokumokuren are extremely strange creatures of Japanese folklore. They’re depicted as paper-sliding doors with multiple eyes. While these yokai aren’t dangerous at all, seeing one of them is downright creepy!
