Asher’s Art Gallery (Mondays)

Hello fellow art lovers! It’s Monday, and my art gallery is open once again! I hope you guys are ready for some cool paintings. Now, have fun exploring the gallery!

  • Spiritual Exercises by Rene` Magritte 1936 Oil on canvas: This is a very bizarre piece by “master surrealist”, Rene` Magritte. The setting of the piece appears to be on a beach with a misty ship on the water. We also see a woman with a giant pearl for a head. The last object in the work is a strange statue with the number 10 covering it in multiple places. The misty sky gives this work a mysterious feel, and the woman perplexes the mind. I’d love to hear what you guys think of this piece in the comment’s section below.

  • Untitled by Larry Carlson 2014: Here we have our weekly Carlson piece, and my god, it’s glorious. This work appears to be an explosion of hypnotic dancers that are covered in magnificent colors. The entire painting, itself is very hallucinogenic, and I believe that this is what someone under the influence of LSD sees. I absolutely adore this work, and would love to hear what you guys think of this painting in the comment’s section below.
