Yokai Wednesdays

Konbanwa everyone! It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means! Yes, it’s time to take a look at some more interesting creatures. Now, let’s go a journey to the “Land of the Rising Sun”!

Info found on Yokai.com

  • Mountain Man! Chimi are incredibly dangerous  of Japanese folklore. They can be found in the mountains, and are depicted bestial, human-faced entities. Chimi love to eat humans, and will confuse their prey before attacking. These yokai are also said to bring disease and malevolence wherever they go.

  •  The Baku is a very kindhearted creature of Japanese mythology. It has the body of a bear, the head of an elephant, the legs of a tiger, the tail of an ox, and the eyes of a rhinoceros. Although it looks horrifying, it actually is one of the holy protecters of mankind. It eats bad dreams, and brings good luck wherever it goes.
