- Caught Red Handed! Akateko are very strange creatures of Japanese mythology. They resemble disembodied red hands. - Umi Bozu are dangerous creatures of Japanese folklore. Their form is enshrouded in mystery, however reports depict them as large humanoid figures with huge eyes and inky black skin. (yokai.com) They’re known to sink ships and are known to create violent waves. (yokai.com)
