Konichiwa, everyone! It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means! Yes, it’s time to take a look at some more interesting Yokai. Now, let’s get started!

  • O_O Kowai are very strange creatures of Japanese mythology. They’re usually depicted as disgusting humanoid creatures with fox-like features, blood-shot eyes, long tongues, and sharp teeth. (yokai.com) Kowai are plagued by an unstoppable hunger, so they like to hang out outside of restaurants or food stands. (yokai.com) Kowai will eat everything within their immediate vicinity, and then they will disappear.

  • Boo! Oboroguruma are creepy creatures of Japanese folklore. They’re depicted as haunted oxcarts with grotesque faces. (yokai.com) Oboroguruma are very old mythical beings, and are said to have been born from the frustration of nobles that couldn’t find parking spots to famous places. (yokai.com)
