Begone Spirit! Onibi are extremely harmful creatures of Japanese mythology. They are essentially the spirits of dead people and animals that are filled with angry feelings and malice. (yokai.com) Onibi are usually blue in color, and usually appear on rainy days to feed on the life force of living creatures. (yokai.com) They can disguise themselves  as lanterns to capture people who wander off in forests. (yokai.com) They are never seen again!
