Asher’s Favorite Sandwiches Part 2 (Sundays)

I have always been of fan of trying interesting and exotic foods from around the world. Each Sunday, I will be compiling a list of my favorite sandwiches. I’m not only going to describe the sandwich, but, I’m also going to show you where to find them. So grab some chips and join me on this culinary journey.

  • Cuban Sandwich from Crispy Cuban: I have recently showed my father the Jon Favreau movie, “Chef”, and he completely loved it! For those of you who don’t know, Chef is a film about an amazing cook that gets fired and decides to buy a food truck. It’s an incredibly movie that I can recommend to any food lover. Anyway, the main food featured in the film is a Cuban Sandwich or Cubano. The sandwich is a mouthwatering combination of “roasted pork, ham, swiss cheese, mustard, pickles, and served on a delicious Cuban bread.” (en.wikipedia.org) Crispy Cuban is a food truck that I believe makes the best Cuban Sandwiches in all of Los Angeles. The amazing combination of fantastic meats and great cheese is to die for! Be warned, you can only eat one because they are quite filling.  If you are a fan of savory and exotic foods, you must try them!

Crispy Cuban is usually found on Ogden at Wilshire daily from 11:00AM to 3:00PM, so be sure to check it out if you are in the area.
