Asher’s Jukebox Part 20

Cartoon Heroes (Speedy Mix Version) by Barbie Young: I’m not very good at DDR, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love the music! This song is one of the most upbeat songs I’ve ever heard! It makes you just want to get up and dance. It starts off nice and slow, but then evolves into a fast-paced Dance song! It’s a huge earworm, and will be stuck in your head for hours after listening to it. A very unique and awesome song! Tell me what you think in the comments section below.

Strange and Disturbing Pokedex Entries (Sources from various Pokedexes and bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net)

Warning!  Some of these entries might be very creepy or violent, so read at your own risk.

Here we are again with the fascinating world Pokemon. I hold this series very close to my heart, and I love learning about all of the different creatures. However, the makers of the Pokemon encyclopedia (Pokedex) sometimes push the envelope too far when it comes to some entries! Every Thursday, I will be creating a list of some of the most creepy and downright disturbing entries in the Pokedex. Tell me what you think in the comments section below.

  • CHECKMATE! Bisharp Pokemon Y Pokedex entry: Bisharp pursues prey in the company of a large group of Pawniard. Then Bisharp finishes off the prey. (Good strategy there!)

  • Dumb+ Dumb= Genius WTH! Slowking Pokemon Diamond Pokedex entry: Being bitten by Shellder gave it intelligence comparable to that of award-winning scientists. (So the bite gave Slowking super brains? Something doesn’t add up here!)

  • Yuck Kaboom! Koffing Pokemon Pearl Pokedex entry: Lighter-than-air gases in its body keep it aloft. The gases not only smell, THEY ARE ALSO EXPLOSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!! (So, it’s a stinkbomb?)

Asher’s Jukebox Part 18

Marion Barfs  by Clint Mansell from the “Requiem For A Dream” soundtrack: I know the title of this song is a bit on the weird side, but don’t let that stop you from listening to it. Despite that I’ve never seen this film, I love the soundtrack! This piece is one of the most beautiful and melancholy music number I’ve ever heard. It starts with a few String instruments, and then grows louder and louder with a pretty, but sad Violin. This song fills me with emotions and is a very powerful track. Asher’s Jukebox Part 17

Scatman (ski-ba-bop-ba-dop-bop) by Scatman John from the album “Scatman’s World.” 1995: I’m pretty sure everyone remembers this awesome Dance song. But if you don’t, you’re in for a big treat! If this song doesn’t make up stand up and dance, I don’t know what will. The song starts with some rather impressive scatting from Scatman John, and then evolves into an epic workout-like Dance piece! It will leave you scatting your head off in no time! I love this song so much, and I hope you guys love it too. Scatman John unfortunately passed away from Lung Cancer in 1999, but he will always be remebered. Interesting Dreams And Their Meanings (Sundays)

Everybody has dreams when they go to sleep every night. If you want to learn more about them, you can find out many interesting things online. Each Sunday, I will be creating an unique list of dreams, and their meanings. I am interested to see what you thing of this topic, and be sure to leave any questions in the comments section below.

  • Open up and say AAAAAAAAAHH! Dentist: Ahh dentists, so people fear them, while others seem just fine in their presence. If you dream about a dentist, it can symbolize two things (dreammoods.com) First, it can represent “the worries and fears about your looks and body image.”  (dreammoods.com) This is evident in the way that many people worry about how their teeth look. It can also mean that you are wary “about the honesty of someone in your life.” (dreammoods.com) This can also be a reference to how many people don’t like going to the dentist, and how they have a hard time trusting them.

Asher’s Jukebox Part 16

Tuesday Afternoon (Forever Afternoon) by  The Moody Blues & The London Festival Orchestra from the album “Anthology: The Moody Blues.”:This song is one giant nostalgia rush! I used to listen to this piece all of the time when I was a kid. The song starts with a nice guitar solo and lyrics that might as well of come out of poetry! It starts to get funky around the 85 second mark with a nice piano. One of the most peaceful song I’ve every heard. Tell me what you think in the comments section below.

Asher’s Jukebox Part 15

The Man With The Harmonica by Apollo 440 from the album “Morricone RMX.”: Finally, a song that uses harmonica’s right! This track is a remix of the popular song from the movie, “Once Upon A Time In The West.” I have always been of fan of the harmonica, and I think that it’s a pretty unique instrument, if you don’t overuse it. This piece of music is one of the most unique sounding tracks I’ve ever heard. It starts off with an awesome harmonica solo, which continues in other parts of the song, and then the piano comes in with a beautiful sound. This goes on for about 65 seconds, and then, an awesome drum & bass starts up. The rest of the song is just pure epicness! If you are a fan of calming, yet upbeat, Electronic tracks, you’ll love this one! Tell me what you think in the comments section below.
